Resumen
El presente artículo explora el humor en la obra cuentística de Jorge Ibargüengoitia. Lo hace repasando su propia idea del tema, su trayectoria del teatro a la literatura y sus declaraciones personales y analizando algunos textos, específicamente del libro La ley de Herodes y su dibujo de la clase media mexicana al desfamiliarizar lo familiar.

Abstract
This article explores humor in the short stories of Jorge Ibargüengoitia. It does so by reviewing his own idea of the subject, his career from theater to literature and his personal statements. Also analyzes his texts, specifically the book The Law of Herod and his drawing of the Mexican middle class to what familiar.
