Abstract
Everything is historic, changing and transitory in Lope’s poetry. The reader zigzags from the archeology of life to that of the text in an alternating game. Unlike Góngora, Lope didn’t have great commentators; the pristine story of his readings, immediate and direct, far from textual materiality. Through antonomasia Lope is the lyrical voice behind a variety of masks, or rather, the dramatization of a discourse, which puts a changing, deformed, antithetical “I” and “you” into play on the blank page. This is how they read his work in plain modernity. These pages collect and reveal these readings.
