Literatura y Exilio Catalán en México, un Encuentro Intercultural

Resumen

El exilio supone una calamidad personal y colectiva que ha afectado y afecta todavía a millones de personas en el mundo. El exilio consiguiente al final de la guerra civil española fue uno de los más largos del siglo XX. México fue uno de los países que acogió más republicanos. Los escritores que se refugiaron en aquel país intentaron integrarse en la cultura mexicana y comprender el mundo prehispánico e indígena. Uno de ellos fue el escritor catalán Lluís Ferran de Pol que construyó parte de su obra narrativa con México como eje.

Abstract

The experience of forced exile results in personal and collective suffering that has involved and still involves millions of people around the world. The exile that took place at the end of the Spanish civil war was one of the longest during the twentieth century. Mexico was one of the countries that welcomed more Spanish exiled Republicans. The writers that took refuge there struggled to integrate into Mexican culture and to understand its indigenous and prehispanic world. Catalan Lluís Ferran de Pol was one among many others who constructed his literary world around Mexico and its culture.
