Abstract

After the disappearance of the socialist countryside, Cuba entered in the Special Period: a hardship time that was very difficult for the population. The arrival of Hugo Chávez in power in 1998 and the fraternal relations he established with Havana were an opportunity that Cubans took advantage of. The deterioration of the Venezuelan regime after the leader’s death is increasing, and the answer of the hardest sector of the regime is to Cubanize the country; what means to imitate the operation of the Cuban regime in everything imitable. During last three years, we have written brief analyzes of the situation that explain this process, which we publish now unified.
